This company has what I consider the WORST customer service. I wanted to give Net Mechanic as a gift and IOLO offers it for $19.95 on their website but in the payment process it shows as $39.96. I contacted the company, They took days to get back to me, eventually after much repeated requests on my part to handle this, they escalated the issue to "Tier 2". What a joke! 2 weeks later after multiple attempts on my part to get them to respond, let... Read more

I recently upgraded from 15.5 to 16. I expected to see an improved product. To my surprise and disgust, the most useful tools in the product have been removed. It is a scaled down, dumbed down version of their previous product. The most useful tool was their registry compactor and it no longer exists in version 16. it is gone. One category of tools labeled "Manage" used to contain 5 or so system management tools. It now contains 1 and it takes... Read more

A few years ago we did business with Iolo and, as I remember, their product was satisfactory. I remember being annoyed by their very aggressive and very premature nags to renew our annual contract. In any case, it appears that our landline and sell phone numbers may have been registered with the company and leaked out somehow because we started receiving and cannot seem to stop calls every few weeks from people representing that they work for... I tired System Mechanic pro and elected not to renew. i uninstalled and years later I still get popups telling me that Sys Mech Pro has expired. I upgraded to windows 10 and I still the the obtrusive popup whenever I reboot my computer. Does anyone know how to kill this unwanted sales pitch? The popups are coming from my machine, not the internet. Very poor behavior for a program that is supposed to solve annoying problems. Is System... Read more

Clicked on the upgrade reminder only to find that the program wouldn't run unless I paid for another year membership after, mind you, I paid for a lifetime membership a little over a month ago. Spent a total of 90 minutes trying to talk to some one and both times when a Rep came on, I was hung up on. And this is after being a customer for many many years. I have opened a customer service complaint with the and am asking for a refund of the $106... Read more

I acquired Iolo's System Mechanic in January 2015 and then updated to windows 10 in June and my nightmare started as it does not work in the new high definition screens under win 10. Iolo extended the subscription but now that is coming to an end again they refused to resolve the issue with high definition screens, refund the money or even extend the service as a courtesy. I contacted customer service and one company man wrote he think a... Read more

After this customer sells a product they obtain the customers personal contact information from the product registration process. Then people from a different country harasses customers by repeatedly calling to sell more products or trying to gain access to the customers computer. They'll demand the customer pay them to stop calling.

Similar to the other reviews on this site, my experience with iolo was awful. The system did download correctly but did not repair the problems on my slow computer. Quite the contrary - my PC froze and is unusable. I deleted the iolo program and asked for my money back. Needless to say, iolo ignored me. I had used iolo many years ago and it did what it said on the tin but clearly things have deteriorated within the company. Like many so-called... Read more

Should you like a company to take money out of your bank account without your permission, then IOLO is for you! Meet the thief: System Mechanic can only find issues with things you did not have before. In other words, the "errors" found were false. Every day errors would be found & fixed by system mechanic, yet the initial one still remained. Continued use of system mechanic would lock you in as a prisoner with computer crashes. So I left this... Read more
